Tammy Evans

Head of Dispute Resolution

What do you do for your clients at Ignition Law?

My focus is always to deliver effective legal advice through combining a commercial approach with the technical discipline of dealing with contentious matters. I enjoy working in close proximity with clients and being a sounding board for all issues, helping clients to develop pragmatic, effective solutions to all disputes.

What gets me out of bed in the morning

Coffee initially and then when my brain engages, being eager to start the day and face a wide ranging case load with the interesting and varied challenges this brings. Working closely with clients enables me to experience a variety of different industries and this means every day is different – I enjoy this intellectual challenge and evolving landscape and it is my favourite part of the job. Resolving disputes allows me to take away a problem and navigate difficult situations for clients, thereby adding value to their business.

An entrepreneur I admire

In the sense of someone creating change, it would have to be Doreen Lawrence. She is a tireless campaigner against racial violence and a member of the House of Lords; teaching us that out of the most tragic circumstances change can be strived for and compassion can flourish.

What would you put on your Ignition Law playlist or bookshelf?

Bookshelf – The Farseer Trilogy – Robin Hobb

Playlist – anything and everything; currently the Hamilton soundtrack

A social cause I care about is…

Equality – in all forms and for all people.
