Neil is a data protection, technology and commercial lawyer with a broad practice, including in-house roles across tech companies, startups, and financial services.
 
He advises on a broad range of UK and EU data protection, as well as commercial agreements and technology-related regulatory matters. His work includes SaaS and technology agreements, website and subscription terms, privacy policies, international data transfers, complex data flows and other regulatory issues affecting technology-enabled businesses.
 
Neil has led a range of transactional and advisory matters, including buy-side and sell-side transactions, complex subject access requests, international data breach responses and regulatory market-entry projects. Having founded and operated his own technology start-up, he also understands first-hand the commercial and operational pressures faced by founders and growing businesses.
 
He works closely with founders, boards, executives, product teams and technical specialists, providing practical, risk-based advice that reflects legal requirements alongside commercial and technical realities.

  • Advising a US healthtech business on UK and EU market entry, including regulatory positioning and data protection compliance.

  • Interests: I’ve played the saxophone since I was young and I also play guitar. I’ve played in various jazz bands over the years and I’ll often pick up a guitar when I’m taking 5 minutes away from a screen.
