Heros is a senior corporate lawyer with extensive experience advising clients on complex domestic and cross-border transactions, across Europe, the Middle East, and South East Asia.

Prior to joining Ignition in 2025, Heros held senior in-house positions and practised at Norton Rose Fulbright LLP. He has undertaken client secondments to Ooredoo during the launch of its 3G network in Myanmar, and to BP-Castrol serving as regional commercial counsel for its downstream division in South East Asia.

He regularly advises technology and media start-up and scale-up founders, entrepreneurs, and investors, as well as SMEs, venture capital, and private equity funds. His expertise spans M&A, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, and strategic investments, with a particular focus on technology, fintech, and financial institutions.

 

Recent Relevant Experience:

  • Advising the seller on its £35 million sale of Summit Veterinary Pharmaceuticals to Swedencare.
  • Advising on the flip-up to the UK of a Turkish cyber security company seeded by the Koç Group.
  • Advising a UK investment group on an equity injection by its management.
  • Advising numerous founders on various rounds of funding, and through stages of their growth.
  • Advising numerous SMEs on fund raising/capital injections, corporate structuring and governance matters.
  • Advising HUB Capital in relation to its £25 million structured acquisition of an asset holding and trading company in the UK.
  • Advising AXA in relation to a number of transactions including its US $50 million strategic acquisition of a Thai general insurer in Bangkok, its US $20 million strategic acquisition a Thai general insurer in Chang Mai, and its US $20 million buy-out of its Malaysian joint venture minority shareholder.
  • Advising BP in relation to its proposed US $30 million tolling joint venture in Saudi Arabia.
  • Advising Allianz in relation to a 50/50 Indonesian joint venture.
  • Advising Arabian Cement Company on its US $25 million initial public offering on the Cairo and Alexandria Stock Exchange.
  • Advising a Bahraini SOE in connection with its proposed minority share in a US $30 million industrial joint venture with Asahi Tec.
  • Advising a Bahraini SOE in connection with its proposed minority share in a US $60 million liquefied natural gas joint venture.
  • Advising First Gulf Bank in relation to its US $165 million acquisition of Dubai First.
  • Advising an investor on the establishment of a Cayman based LP and the establishment of two BVI corporate investment vehicles.
  • Advising Ingenico in relation to its US $100 million acquisition of a target group in the online payments sector.
  • Advising Mandara Energy Group in relation to a group restructuring (with UK, Singapore and UAE based entities), minority shareholder rights and buy-out rights.
  • Advising Michelin in relation to its US $300 million acquisition of an agricultural tire manufacturing group based in China, and its US $150 million acquisition of a telematics and geo-location group operating in South East Asia and Europe.
  • Advising Olam Group in relation to its US $300 million shareholder buy-out of a joint venture.
  • Advising BP in relation to its entry into a Myanmar contractual joint venture through its Thai joint venture.
