What do you do for your clients at Ignition Law?

I am a senior corporate and commercial lawyer and lead on finance work for Ignition Law. I help my clients advance their business through thorough, practical legal advice.

What gets me out of bed in the morning

Firstly coffee! Then it is usually, in the winter, the call of the ski slopes or in summer, the sound of the local wildlife and the thought of going for a long run through the mountainous trails in Val d’Isere. Otherwise, it is the ability to be able to help a client find a solution to their problem and make their life easier.

An entrepreneur I admire

My parents started their business with one pharmacy which they bought when I was 4 years old. Through sheer hard work and determination, I saw their business grow and grow over the years to become a successful pharmacy group in North Yorkshire. This set the tone for the drive that I have to succeed in my career, whether that be as a lawyer (having worked at some of the most prestigious law firms across the globe) or whether that be starting my own business with my fiance and watching it develop into one of the most trusted companies in our area.

What would you put on your Ignition Law playlist or bookshelf?

I’m not sure whether it can be called inspirational, but Still Alice is a truly moving story which made me reflect on life and cherish even the small things that life has to offer.

A social cause I care about is

Stopping climate change – one of the biggest issues facing today’s humanity.
