Asiya Seth

Asiya is a finance and restructuring and insolvency lawyer with 7 years of post-qualification experience. She trained and qualified at Linklaters, working in both the London and Dubai offices, and later joined the in-house legal team at Barclays. Asiya has experience advising borrowers and lenders across a range of sectors on all aspects of financing transactions. 

Relevant experience includes:

• drafting and negotiating finance and security documents and generally running bilateral and syndicated finance transactions from engagement through to completion
• advising lenders on a range of large, international restructurings and insolvencies, including schemes of arrangements, company voluntary arrangements, administrations and liquidations 
• reviewing and negotiating engagement letters, NDAs and non-reliance and reliance letters for finance and restructuring transactions  
• assisting with a bank’s LIBOR transition project including drafting and negotiating documentation to transition clients to risk free rates 
• assisting with a bank’s response to COVID, including reviewing and negotiating COVID loan scheme documentation with the British Business Bank
• acting as lead in-house counsel on a range of restructuring transactions including management of external counsel, advising internal stakeholders and assisting with co-com lender discussions
