What gets me out of bed in the morning

Any day I learn something new about the world or the people in it is a good day. Curiosity drives me…

An entrepreneur I admire

Although occasionally the subject of controversy, Elon Musk’s approach to business demonstrates a willingness to think big, and plan for the long term.

He founded SpaceX with one goal – to make humanity interplanetary (to paraphrase their marketing materials). Whether or not they succeed, SpaceX has kickstarted a new space race, this time driven by commerce and free market forces, rather than narrow national interest. SpaceX and their competitors have picked up the torch dropped by the superpowers in the latter years of the 20th Century. There is no nobler purpose.
