What gets me out of bed in the morning

I love building cool things with cool people. Entrepreneurs have an infectious enthusiasm and there’s nothing more rewarding than joining a passionate founder on their journey. It’s great that we’re part of the London start-up scene ourselves. It means we “get it” and can become integral to our clients’ teams.

An entrepreneur I admire

I’m impressed by Jack Ma, founder of Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba. He’s very open about his initial failure and the importance of grit and resilience. I think his advice “before you turn 30 years old, follow somebody” is useful for millennials. I also admire social entrepreneurs like Muhammad Yunus who, in setting up micro-finance institution Grameen Bank, proved that business models at the base of the pyramid can be profitable while having systematic social impact. There are lots more – I enjoy reading books like Ben Horowitz’s ‘The Hard Thing About Hard Things’, Eric Ries’ ‘The Lean Start-Up’ and ‘The Challenger Sale’ by Matthew Dixon.
