What gets me out of bed in the morning

My alarm clock, if my children haven’t already shouted me out of bed. Other than that, the chance to pursue a challenging and interesting career assisting entrepreneurs in building innovative new businesses.

An entrepreneur I admire

An entrepreneur I admire is Harriet Hastings, who identified a gap in the food gifting market and in 2007, together with her husband, founded Biscuiteers. While the company has grown exponentially, I really admire that Hastings has remained true to her original business idea, scaling up production while ensuring all her products are made by hand and can truly be described as little works of edible art. On top of running Biscuiteers, Hastings is a mum to four children – I’d love to know how she does it.

The fine print

  • Key Practices: Finance, Corporate & Commercial.
  • Education and Training: University College London and BPP Law School.
  • Work: Simmons & Simmons, Kaupthing Bank hf, Eversheds and Barclays Bank plc.
  • Client Secondments: HSBC
  • Other interests: Baking – from tiered wedding cakes to macaroons there is nothing I like better than spending time in my kitchen creating delicious treats for family and friends.
