What gets me out of bed in the morning

Usually some kind of brutal fitness class to get the blood flowing, followed by a strong black coffee. Then it’s the thrill of supporting and protecting my clients, whether that’s getting a deal across the line, helping them to find a solution to a problem or making sure their rights are protected. With over a decade of hands on experience of working in the television and advertising industries, I love that I now get to work with clients from all creative sectors. There is never a dull day, meaning every day is different. I love that my role allows me to be flexible to my clients’ needs. Variety is the spice of life!

An entrepreneur I admire

An entrepreneur I admire is the late Richard Hopkins. Not your typical entrepreneur but a television executive who knew how to spot a good show and get a commissioner to make it. He taught me how tenacity is so important for business. If at first you fail, evaluate, adapt and try again (and again, and again). He applied this strategy when trying to get Strictly Come Dancing commissioned. He was rebuffed time and time again, until he changed tact in the commissioning room by taking two ballroom dancers in with him; who duly dragged the commissioner from her seat and whisked her off her feet. The show was then commissioned that same day. Richard believed in what he was selling and was not going to take no for an answer!
