What do you do for your clients at Ignition Law?

As a corporate lawyer, I try to provide creative and commercial solutions to the complex legal problems that face an organisation on its journey from start-up through the significant milestones in its life-cycle. I also advise on general corporate work and regulatory matters.

What gets me out of bed in the morning

I’m a morning person (I’m usually up before the dog) and ideally like to fit in a work-out before the working day – it’s my best time for creative thinking!

An entrepreneur I admire

I think what Daniel Ek achieved with Spotify and its influence on how we enjoy music is fantastic. This is particularly so given the fact that Spotify was founded against a backdrop of competing organisations that were operating illegally. Spotify’s success is a great example of a business that has used expert legal assistance to successfully navigate a changing regulatory landscape.

What would you put on your Ignition Law playlist or bookshelf?

My early morning tunes (described as horrendous by my partner) feature EDM from the 90s onwards quite heavily! My bookshelf is currently devoted to the excellent ‘Chronicles of Ancient Darkness’ series by Michelle Paver (a former City law firm partner) which I’m reading to my nephew.

A social cause I care about is…

Modern slavery, which is sadly a huge problem for millions of people living in poverty on the planet exacerbated by globalisation and by the current pandemic. More information is available here:
