What do you do for your clients at Ignition Law?

I advise companies on all aspects of employment law including day-to-day HR advisory work, business restructures and litigation.

I am experienced in drafting employment contracts, consultancy agreements, executive director contracts and non-executive director appointment letters. I advise on managing sickness absence and stress at work, performance management, disciplinaries and grievances, as well as exit strategies and settlement terms when things don’t work out.

I have experience of Employment Tribunal proceedings involving allegations of unfair dismissal and discrimination, and High Court litigation including interim injunction proceedings involving disputes about confidentiality obligations and restrictive covenants.

What gets me out of bed in the morning

The promise of a coffee after a run or swim.

An entrepreneur I admire

Ben Francis, founder and majority shareholder of Gymshark, a fitness clothing company, manufacturer and online retailer. He spotted a gap in the market and was not intimidated by competing with established global sports companies. He used innovative ways of raising brand awareness on social media and now has customers in 131 countries. He secured investment in August 2020 that, reportedly, valued his company at more than £1billion.

My family were early adopters of Gymshark – it started with my husband and son, but during lockdown, we’ve all been seen sporting a lot of activewear whether or not we’re actually doing any exercise.
