Daniel Jankes

Daniel is a former General Counsel and Company Secretary with first-hand experience of all aspects of a Company’s lifecycle from initial funding, IPO, scale-up and restructuring.

His wide-ranging experience covers capital markets, public and private fundraising, alternative financing arrangements, oil and gas projects (FPSO and SURF), M&A, joint ventures, debt restructuring, regulatory compliance and engagement, shareholder engagement and activism, contracting and procurement, corporate governance, remuneration and ESG reporting.

Relevant experience includes:

• Four years as a corporate solicitor with Wedlake Bell acting for private investors, founders, entrepreneurs and management teams in relation to investments, fundraising, M&A and general corporate advisory matters.
• 10+ years with Hurricane Energy plc, an upstream oil and gas company, as its General Counsel and Company Secretary including multiple private and public fundraising rounds, AIM IPO and the financing and delivery of the Lancaster Field Development.
