Alexis Goldfinch

Alexis trained at magic circle law firm, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and worked in the IP/IT and Commercial Team advising a broad range of clients, predominately in the Financial Services and FMCG sectors on a variety of matters ranging from advising on commercial contracts, trade mark matters, corporate transactions and litigation. Alexis gained valuable in-house experience whilst on client secondments at Sony, PepsiCo, Bank of America and Barclays Bank.

Alexis later experienced life first hand as an in house lawyer when she joined Alpha FMC, a global management consultancy firm, as sole legal counsel in 2019. Over the next three years, Alexis set up Alpha’s legal function and became their Head of Legal overseeing a team of three lawyers. Alexis advised Alpha’s consultancy business divisions, temporary resource business and Alpha’s software solutions business during a period of rapid growth which included global expansion and three acquisitions. Alexis enjoys building relationships with clients and becoming their go-to trusted advisor.

Relevant experience includes:

• Drafting and negotiating SaaS agreements, software development agreements and managed service agreements for FinTech clients;
• Drafting terms of business (including customer terms), website and app terms of use, privacy policies and cookie policies for various start ups and scale ups across a range of sectors;
• Drafting a variety of commercial agreements including master services agreements, consultancy agreements and introduction agreements.
• Advising businesses in relation to their data protection compliance obligations;
• Advising businesses on intellectual property issues affecting them;
• Advising on the commercial, data protection and IP aspects on corporate transactions, including acquisitions and in connection with funding rounds.
