Al is a corporate lawyer with over a decade of experience advising companies and financial institutions on strategic transactions. These include mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements, and corporate advisory matters. He also has extensive expertise in commercial contracts, particularly within supply chains.

Having spent many years in leading City corporate law departments, Al developed deep expertise in complex transactions and business strategy. He later broadened his perspective by serving as General Counsel for a high-growth, venture-backed ecommerce business. In this role, he helped the company scale from start-up to significant revenues, acquiring dozens of brands and navigating complex equity and debt fundraising rounds.

At Ignition Law Al works closely with start-ups, scale-ups, and businesses based in the innovation economy to raise capital, acquire other businesses, and achieve successful exits. He has expertise in working with private equity and venture capital-backed companies, especially in the consumer, media, technology and real estate sectors.

Al also acts as a fractional GC, helping businesses bridge the gap between day-to-day operations and strategic legal planning. His combined experience in private practice, in-house roles, and entrepreneurial ventures means he truly understands the challenges and opportunities his clients face.
