Intellectual Property Lawyer

Are you looking for a flexible legal role where you can work pretty much where and when you want, alongside some of the most exciting new companies in the UK?

Ignition Law is seeking an IP specialist to join our growing team of lawyers based both in London and remotely. We are looking for a candidate who can work approximately 2/3 days a week either from our office in Fitzrovia or remotely from home (wherever that may be!).

Ignition Law is a dynamic new law firm that advises start-ups and high growth businesses across a range of legal matters, including corporate, commercial, real estate, IP, finance, etc. With an increasing level of IP work now being undertaken by the firm, this is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for flexible legal work to fit around their schedule.

Reporting to one of our partners you will be involved in a range of IP matters for various clients in sectors such as technology, finance and media. You should be a UK qualified lawyer with 5-10 years’ experience and have a strong academic and professional background. You should have experience advising on all aspects of IP, including (but not limited to) assisting our clients with trade mark and design right queries, IP assignments and IP clauses in commercial contracts, etc. Knowledge of data protection law would be a bonus (though not required) but an appetite to get involved with GDPR work going forward is key.

The team you will be joining are self-motivated, enthusiastic and enjoy being lawyers. We are forward thinking, not only for our own firm, but also for our clients. The ideal candidate will be passionate about law, interested in the tech/start-up world, and keen to get involved with a firm that is seen by their clients as highly commercial and trusted advisors (the technical side is a given!).

Sound interesting? Please send us your CV and cover letter (optional) to or get in touch for more information – we look forward to hearing from you!
