What gets me out of bed in the morning

My alarm clock…. Although my internal body clock seems to love waking me up around 20 minutes before that! I guess that’s just because I look forward to what each new day brings because no two days are the same; my role is so diverse and I love it. It’s great to be a part of a company who recognize and make the most of their employees’ individual skills and attributes - I think this is the definition of the word ‘team’.

An entrepreneur I admire

There are many people with entrepreneurial spirits that I’ve been inspired by. Most recently, I’ve been intrigued by females (e.g. Nikkie de Jager) who have taken social media by storm and leveraged the skills they have, whether it be their singing voices or their make-up abilities, to inspire young women around the world to make the most of the technology at their fingertips. These females become ‘Influencers” and therefore have a platform to evoke young generations to attract better things into their lives than just a regular 9-5 job.

It’s also worth giving credit to someone who has inspired the thoughts, ideas and development of many of those same people – Stephen R Covey. He wrote a book entitled “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”. The words on the pages within this book are useful from a practical point of view. It’s a book that contains guidance on developing principles and attributes that contribute to being a better person and, if read correctly, it can teach you how to become an ‘entrepreneur’ or, in other words, how to find the best solution to people’s problems in the most unique way.
